Lets see here, I'm 14 I love Marina, cats, video games, and all things pink. But i'm also a sassy little bitch, so watch out. c;
“One thing I’ve learnt is that you should never look back, the past is dead and buried, you get nothing from living there, it’s all about today. but I’ve been having these dreams, in them nothing is real, nothing is solid; everything is fantasy, fucked. An illusion. In these dreams I’m a life that’s already gone by. Today means nothing, today is just a ghost that’s haunting me. I’m at the end of the world on the edge of things and I think about letting go. I think about falling. My name is James Cook, I did something once and my ghost won’t let me forget it. “

“Before she was signed, she auditioned for an all-male reggae boyband. In one of her first videos, she grew muppet legs and declared “we are the spoons”. Another single, Obsessions, described her crippling indecision in the local supermarket’s biscuit aisle. Imagine Beyonce singing that. You can’t. She’d just buy all the biscuits, smash them to bits, bake them into a cheesecake and ice an empowering feminist message on top. Which is impressive, obviously, but not very relatable.
Marina’s songs are irreverent, playful, occasionally juvenile and always unpredictable, especially in the light of her newest song, Froot. Released today in celebration of her 29th birthday.”
Welcome back, Marina. Pop was duller without you.

I’m a hopeless romantic in a world where romance is dead and love is taken for granted.
A 14 year-old boy was recently raped at knife-point by a 20 year-old woman. When the story broke, it was primarily men who claimed he should have enjoyed it. It was feminists who validated his pain and spoke in support of him.
This is why we need feminism.
